Lewis Collier spent all of his early life immersed in the building trades, from gaining skills in the time-honored craft of hand-fitting lumber and logs from his grandfather, to learning the disciplines of foundations, plumbing and masonry from his uncle. In 1970, he married Jo Ann and for the next 18 years, along with the joys of raising their two sons, Lewis added welding and steel setting to his skills while founding two companies handling residential and commercial construction and repairs. In 1988, Lewis founded Certified Foundations, Inc. (CFI), in Lakeland, FL (which he still owns) that provides foundation stabilization and structural restoring/rebuilding. In 2008, Lewis and Jo Ann purchased property at Long Branch Lakes in Spencer, TN. And in 2009, they began and completed construction on their own beautiful, lakefront log home in the community, designed by StoneMill Log Homes of Knoxville, TN. In the process, Lewis found his love of log construction, learned from his grandfather, rekindled. With a strong belief in the premier design and quality of StoneMill Log Homes and a commitment to build exclusively in Long Branch Lakes, Lewis and Jo Ann founded Square Peg Builders, LLC.
