There is a powerful and natural relationship between Square Peg Builders and a community in middle Tennessee called Long Branch Lakes. From the moment the owners of Square Peg first visited this remarkable 5,000-acre community, they felt, as so many visitors do, a profound sense of connection to the rare, authentic and energizing lifestyle that Long Branch Lakes presents.

In 2008, with their eye on purchasing a parcel of land that adjoined Long Branch Lakes, the owners of Square Peg–Lewis and Jo Ann Collier–decided to visit the neighboring community. Warmly welcomed by its visionary developers Edmond Cash and Rick Klewein, they explored the vast acreage of Long Branch Lakes, encountering its rare quality and a world of first-class amenities–from lakeside pavilions to its premier equestrian center. Realizing that everything they had dreamed of in a place to live was already a wonderful reality at Long Branch Lakes, the Colliers purchased three homesites. Lewis and Jo Ann soon began construction on their gracious lakefront log home designed by StoneMill Log Homes.
In the process of building their residence, Lewis Collier began to envision an opportunity for a much greater involvement in the future of this community he had come to love: the opportunity to build only StoneMill Log Homes and to do so only at Long Branch Lakes. Upon this foundation, the Collier family established Square Peg Builders, LLC.
